1. Acceptance
1.1 By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using HalalMap customer experiences, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, and—where delivery is used—the Delivery Terms.
1.2 If you do not agree, do not use HalalMap.
1.3 Additional terms may apply to specific features (for example donations or promotions). Those terms control for the feature they describe.
2. Who we are
2.1 Operator. HalalMap is operated by IslamPages Inc. (“IslamPages,” “we,” “us”).
2.2 Product name. “HalalMap” refers to the consumer-facing apps, websites, and related services branded HalalMap.
2.3 Jurisdiction. These Terms are prepared for use in Canada. Provincial consumer protection rules may provide additional rights that cannot be waived.
2.4 Launch location metadata. Support and launch operations currently use Edmonton, Alberta, Canada as public location metadata in Admin Legal Center fields. That metadata is editable and is not a claim that Edmonton is the registered corporate head office unless later confirmed and published.
3. Accounts
3.1 You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated (including phone number used for order contact).
3.2 You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding login credentials, passkeys, and devices.
3.3 You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your province and to use food-delivery and payment services lawfully.
3.4 We may refuse registration or reclaim usernames that infringe rights or create confusion.
4. Marketplace roles
4.1 Customers. You browse, order, pay, and receive goods or pickup confirmations through HalalMap.
4.2 Business partners (merchants). Independent businesses list products, set availability and prices (subject to platform rules), prepare orders, and fulfill pickup or handoff to drivers.
4.3 Drivers. Where delivery is enabled, independent delivery partners may accept delivery offers and transport orders. Driver agreements are separate from these Client Terms.
4.4 Platform. IslamPages provides software, payments facilitation through processors, customer support tooling, and marketplace matching. We do not control every merchant kitchen, inventory decision, or road condition.
5. Orders
5.1 An order request becomes a contract for the sale of goods between you and the merchant when the merchant accepts, subject to availability and these Terms.
5.2 Prices, fees, taxes, and estimates shown before payment are based on information available at that time and may adjust for weighed items, substitutions you approve, or corrections disclosed in the app.
5.3 Estimated preparation and delivery times are informational and not guarantees. See the Delivery Terms for delivery-specific expectations.
5.4 Cancellations and refunds are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Payments
6.1 Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (including Stripe). HalalMap does not store full card numbers when those providers tokenize payments.
6.2 You authorize charges for order totals, applicable taxes, fees, tips you select, and permitted adjustments (such as grocery weight true-ups).
6.3 Failed payments may result in order cancellation.
7. Platform usage
7.1 You may use HalalMap only for lawful personal or permitted household ordering and browsing.
7.2 Features may vary by city, vertical (for example restaurants or grocery), and launch status. Some markets or verticals may be waitlisted or coming soon.
7.3 We may update, suspend, or discontinue features with notice where required.
8. Prohibited activities
You agree not to:
- abuse, harass, or threaten merchants, drivers, or support staff;
- submit false orders, chargebacks without basis, or fraudulent payment information;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform except as allowed by law;
- misuse promotions or referral programs;
- upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
- use HalalMap to violate export, sanctions, or other applicable laws.
9. Suspension and termination
9.1 We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, created risk for others, or engaged in fraud or abuse.
9.2 You may stop using HalalMap at any time. Account deletion requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
9.3 Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits, intellectual property, and unpaid amounts) survive termination.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
10.1 Merchant goods. Merchants are responsible for the preparation, quality, labeling, and legal sale of their products, including any halal representations they make. HalalMap may display merchant-provided information and platform verification badges where offered; verification processes do not make IslamPages the certifying body for every product unless expressly stated.
10.2 As available. The platform is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.
10.3 Limitation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IslamPages Inc.’s aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or your use of HalalMap is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid through HalalMap for the order giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim, or (b) CAD $100. This limit does not exclude liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including certain consumer rights).
10.4 No consequential damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
11. Modifications
11.1 We may update these Terms by publishing a new version in Admin Legal Center and making it ACTIVE for customers after approval.
11.2 Material changes may require renewed acceptance in the app. Continued use after the effective date of an ACTIVE version constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
